It's Sunday & I Missed Church Again

Genuine Christianity & MAGA Christianity are polar opposites. It's become evident those naive folks who have been entrapped by MAGA media's distorted worldview that capitulates to their orange dictator, they've sacrificed their moral bearings to the god of earthly power that trumps heavenly power. Those corrupted church congregations have unwittingly fallen into the Devil's trap of disinformation & lies, while MAGA pastors have been duped into becoming like the scribes & Pharisees that Jesus called out, as their MAGA-GOP political party becomes increasingly anti-American, anti-democracy & pro-fascist... Among the things that stood out to me at the local No Kings rally I attended, aside from the enthusiasm & camaraderie of the crowd, was how much in discussions with them that their moral values have eclipsed those of MAGAs in our current society. MAGA Christians are most to blame for electing Trump & causing the bitterly divided chaos/harm our nation is now dealing with. I escaped that extremist far-right cult shortly after the 2016 election by leaving my (white) evangelical church, once I realized many started serving Trump on a similar level as Jesus, since their earthly king better satisfied their selfish desires & hatred... MAGA at its core is decidedly not biblical. Professing faith in both Jesus & MAGA politics is an incongruent belief system, which their exposed hypocrisy is apparent to others & badly tarnishes the faith. I can attest to the fact my faith has been strengthened by leaving a church that had lost its way. For those who likewise are struggling inside a church which seems to have abandoned the love & grace of Christ, please examine your surroundings to determine whether they've fallen into the cult of MAGA. If so, please run (do not walk) to a place outside those church walls where Jesus still lives, the Holy Spirit still directs & moral integrity is still an everyday practice...
