Anti-Spam and Email Communications Policy
 

The Geauga County Democratic Party is committed to responsible, permission-based email communications and does not tolerate spam or abusive email practices.

 

No Unsolicited Bulk Email

 

We do not knowingly send unsolicited bulk or commercial email. Our email communications are intended for individuals who have voluntarily provided their email address, requested information, registered for an event, signed up for communications, or otherwise established an appropriate relationship with our organization.

 

Email List Practices

 

We do not purchase, rent, scrape, harvest, or obtain email addresses from unauthorized third-party lists for the purpose of sending unsolicited bulk email.

We take reasonable steps to maintain accurate mailing lists and remove invalid, outdated, or inappropriate addresses.

 

Unsubscribe Requests

 

Every bulk email we send will provide recipients with a clear and convenient method to unsubscribe. Unsubscribe requests are honored promptly. Once an individual has opted out, we will not knowingly add that person back to our general email distribution list without a subsequent request or consent from that individual.

 

Complaints

 

We take complaints concerning unwanted email seriously. If someone believes they received an email from us improperly, they may contact the Geauga County Democratic Party and request immediate removal.

We will investigate credible reports of unauthorized or abusive use of our email systems and take appropriate corrective action.

 

Protection Against Abuse

 

Our website, domain, email accounts, and mailing systems may not be used to distribute spam, phishing messages, malicious content, deceptive communications, or other abusive electronic messages.

 

Compliance

 

We strive to comply with applicable federal law, including the CAN-SPAM Act, and with the acceptable-use and anti-spam requirements of the technology and email service providers we use.
