Geauga County Democratic Party Listening Tour with new ODP Chairwoman

Geauga Dems and I have been speaking with our new Ohio Democratic Party Chairwoman Liz Walters about how we elect more democrats and move Ohio forward. Chairwoman Walters is focused on these and other issues, especially as they apply to counties like Geauga.  On Thursday evening, March 25 from 7-8pm, Liz will present ODP’s plans to move Ohio forward. There’s some great news and some obstacles to overcome, but our new Chairwoman needs, and wants, to know what’s important to us! This Listening Tour is our opportunity to express concerns, ideas and goals for Geauga and Ohio.  I’ve participated in 2 of these and found I heard new ideas and probing questions from participants. What is the financial picture for the state party; will they maintain their current HQ in Columbus, or sell it and perhaps go to a more regional structure? How much help, if any, can local parties and candidates expect from the state party? Will data and GOTV help be available? How will voter registration, protection and election issues be addressed ? What are the plans to recruit and support candidates for Ohio Governor and US Senate? Come and ask questions and hear realistic responses.
