SB 172 — Requires all officials to allow all immigration-related arrests with or without a warrant, even if the person is only “suspected” of being undocumented—Passed the Senate. In the House
HB 42 — Require many agencies (including schools) to collect/report immigration & citizenship data — Hearing 11/18
HB 172 — Bans mental health care for minors without parental consent — Calls needed
There’s a reason people call this the “Child Abuser Protection Act.”
If (God forbid) a child is being abused by a parent or guardian, 30 days of mental health care without parental consent may be their only opportunity to seek help. That’s why the current law exists!!
